I graduated in 2006 from Universitas Alazhar Indonesia with a BA in English literature and a 3.82 GPA. My study concentration revolved around fiction analyses and creative writing. I was academically trained to discuss prose, poetry, and play in meticulous lengthy details. As I love writing more than anything, I am accustomed to write a 500-word literary analyses or an argumentative essay in under one hour.

Experience

I am an English literature teacher with sixteen years of experience working for formal and informal schools in Indonesia, offline and online.

Since 2006, I have been teaching general and academic English for elementary to advanced levels in more than fifteen institutions. My teaching specialization is literary analyses (prose, poetry, play) and academic/creative writing. Often I teach classes for test preparations such as TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, SAT, ACT, A-Level, IGCSE, GRE Verbal, GMAT Verbal, and IB English.

I scored 660 for my PBT TOEFL and 8 for IELTS. Other standardized tests I completed for personal practice were SAT, IGCSE, IBT, TOEIC, and GRE/GMAT English. All exercises were timed and I normally scored 80 to 100%.

The students I teach range from six to sixty years old, from elementary school students to office workers (including PhD candidates). I teach casually while adjusting to the methods my students prefer. This is crucial to help them grasp the materials without haste. I always empathize with them so they can feel the true advantage of learning.

Many of my students managed to boost their scores significantly in one to three months. Their IELTS scores improved from 5 to 7; SAT from 650 to 740; PBT from 450 to 550; GRE English from 146 to 156; GMAT from 550 to 680.

For one hour of an online class, the fee is Rp200,000. I can teach on any day from afternoon until midnight, as long as the class won't conflict my other schedules. I also can give a free class demonstration through Meet for 30 minutes. The materials will be customized for the student's request.

Saya berpengalaman mengajar bahasa dan sastra Inggris untuk tingkat pemula hingga mahir. Materi bahasa Inggris apa saja bisa saya kembangkan sesuai permintaan siswa. Baik dari bahasa Inggris umum, akademis, kemahiran menulis, persiapan tes TOEFL, IELTS, hingga bahan kuliah sastra Inggris semua bisa saya ajarkan. Pengalaman saya sebagai guru sekolah/kursus dan tutor privat sudah lebih dari lima belas tahun. Jumlah murid yang pernah saya ajar selama ini bisa lebih dari 900 orang. Belakangan ini, saya juga memberi bimbingan penulisan esai untuk pendaftaran S2. Dua murid terakhir yang saya bimbing berhasil masuk ke program MSc di Amerika dan di Swedia.

Tolong diingat kalau saya tidak menyetujui praktik kecurangan dalam bentuk apapun. Sudah dua kali saya diminta untuk mengerjakan tes Inggris orang lain dan jelas permintaan ini saya tolak. Akan lebih baik jika peserta tes meminta bantuan saya untuk mengajarkan materi tes Inggrisnya agar bisa dipelajari secara bertahap dan bukan meminta saya melakukan plagiarisme.
